ACATS is one of RELC’s three sub-schools. We focus on engaging students in curriculum highlighting technology and its interdisciplinary applications.
Classrooms are equipped with televisions, LCD projectors and SmartBoards, which are incorporated in daily lessons. There are three computer labs—two Dell and one new Mac lab—where students have access to excellent instructional software programs.
In addition to a technology focus, students have the option of taking accelerated regents tracks in Math, Earth Science and U.S. History. Those who successful complete these courses will earn high school credit.
We believe all of our students deserve a college degree, so we prepare our students to attend selective high schools so they can go onto the best universities.
We have wonderful extracurricular programs for our ACATS students:
TechYes, Lego Robotics,
Tabula Digita and the
Kid Witness News Video Program.
We also go on great field trips to Apple, Samsung, Sonywonderlab, Museum of the Moving Image and Museum of Television and Radio.
